Hi guys

I have a question about the landing rate in the bluesky program, I usually use the gees program and it shows me much lower landing rates below 200 ft/min, what program does blue sky use? I'm asking because a lot of points are lost for landings

HI Bluesky uses FSUIPC data, which is fed directly from the sim to record your landing rates.

Many Thanks,

Mark.

Thanks Mark!

so you think that the bluesky landing rate reflects the landing rate more than the external application?

Hi Michal, Bluslesky only reports what the sim is telling it. We do not process the data further by rounding up or down. If.the rates are not what you expect please try another external program to m9nitor and compare the differences. Iy would be good to see, also the version of fsuipc makes a digference, please make sure you have the most recent release. Welcome to the VA. I hope you enjoy your flights here, please let me know if can help further.

Many Thanks,

Mark.

Thanks Mark, Ok, i ll check my version of fsuipc, thanks for the reply. Of course, I have fun flying for our airline. Best regards.

Ive noticed on a few occasions ,Ive got a low flight score ,when looking at bluesky its started with 0 score for flight at beginning instead of the normal 150, any Ideas as to why ? & as it happens the flight Im doing now has "starting score 0"

Cheers

Hi Barry,
Please let me know your pirep number, and I will have a look and try to get to the bottom of it, mate.

Hi,

Yes, I have found a possible cause for this.

The BlueSky/kACARSII scoring system should be using a base starting score of 150. I have checked the scoring configuration and the starting score value is still set to 150, but one of the setup flags for that scoring row was set to 0.

I have now changed that setup flag to 1 so the scoring setup should initialise correctly.

Please fully close BlueSky/kACARSII and reopen it before starting the next flight. If there is an option to refresh/reset local data in the client, please run that as well, as the client may cache some settings locally.

On the next flight, please check the first few log lines. What we want to see is:

[xx:xxz] Starting Score: 150
[xx:xxz] Aircraft Profile: A20N

If it still starts at 0 after a full restart, let me know and I will check whether your local BlueSky/kACARSII install is holding old cached settings or using an older client version.

Cheers,
Mark

Many Thanks,

Mark.
