Should we disable the BlueSky landing light parameters?

Hi all,

Apologies if it has been asked before. Is there a way to disable the landing light rule on BlueSky? The reason I ask is the landing light rule to my knowledge is flexible and depends on the operators' SOP. Although below 10,000 seems to be a default ruling, during take-off from quiet airfields in quiet airspaces the landing lights are regularly turned off sooner as doing so reduces drag (albeit minimum). Also, during landing with overcast/low cloud, landing lights can hinder visability somewhat. BlueSky penalises this.

Cheers

Connor

Hi Connor

Did you forget to operate your landing lights? wink  Easily done mate.  Only Mark can give the definitive answer but, as far as I know, Blue Skies is 3rd party software and probably is not editable to deal with this issue.  FSUIPC reports all manner of parameters to Blue Skies which then provides your score.  From my many penalties for this 'crime' I think it's only a loss of 10 points so not really a big deal.  No one's perfect!  I do agree about SOP's and different weather conditions but we can only make the best of the system we have.

Cheers

I believe it is possible to disable this penalty, if this is causing issues then we can disable, if everyone is aware of the parameters we operate then its not really a problem.

Im happy to go with the general consensus, should we disable or leave as?

I have added a quick poll at the top of this thread.

Thanks,

Mark.

Many Thanks,

Mark.
