Hello JetVA people!

I am fairly new to this awesome VA, I have around 14-15 flights under my 'straining' belt and just love flying the A320 painted orange! I am also a fan and regularily fly long haul flights in the 777F, 777-300 and A350. (I am retired, housebound and have way too much time on my hands.)

I tend to fly the Long hauls with another VA based in North America, but would love to keep all of my records in one location. I wonder if other pilots also find the larger aircraft as pleasurable as I do. (OK, OK, that sounded soooo wrong....)

I wonder if it might be possible to create an 'EasyLong' section (I know the schedules are pretty close to real world right now, but hey, a little fantasy never hurt anyone, after all, we are all sitting in our lounges sipping coffee or something stronger, pretending to be pilots) I would be more than happy to create schedules and possibly liveries and grow the additions slowly... maybe it will also attract new pilots too?
Anyway, it really is no biggie, I am here to stay because the website and ACARS systems are head and shoulders above the competition in my very humble, yet slightly unnerving opinion.

Keep the blue side up, unless flying a Pits Special,
Neal EZY6167

Hi Neal

It's nothing to do with me and Mark will undoubtedly reply to you soon however, for what it's worth, here's my take on your suggestion.  It would be wrong.

A really good VA's strength is firstly in its pilots.  If you attract the right people then the VA will thrive.  VA's need pilots who stay not those who are here today and gone tomorrow.  Hard core flight simmers are attracted to VA's because they are authentic.  They model the real world airline in every possible way.  JetVa does just this and it's a great VA as a result.  Once you start introducing 'fictional or fantasy' flights then it dilutes the authenticity of the VA.

I've been flight simming since the 80's and I've seen hundreds of VA's come and go.  The ones who last 10, 20 ,25 years are those who are truly autnentic.  I was management of BA Virtual from its inception in 1999 until I left to join JetVa in 2018.  BAV has stayed authentic and is still going strong now..  JetVa has been around since 2010.

I absolutely get where you are coming from and see the attraction of flying different types of aircraft but for the reasons outlined I'd be sad to see us 'make up routes' just for different airframes.

I hope that you stay with us for years to come.  The variety of routes will keep you going that long and if you want to escape Europe then sign up for one of our Tours which go around the world.

Rob

Hi Rob,

Thank you for your very honest response, I appreciate the candidness.
I'm pretty long in the tooth too, having been simming since the late 70's (I know, No PC's back then, but thats another story about military hardware, one which I will totally deny if challenged by the authorities!) I was one of the original founders of Vatsim UK, If my weary brain recalls we were called Satco back in the day, I was marketing Director and gave a few speeches at the then very new simming community.I sit typing this mid flight from Sharm to Manchester, I do love my longer flights!
As I said in my original post. It really is not an issue, there are plenty of places I can go to sctatch the 12 hour itch. You are right about the depth of routes here, and I will be around for a very long time. maybe there is room for a long haul tour? (Does this man never give up?... no) I am very much enjoying my time here and look forward to many, many flights to come.

Hello Neal,
Hello, if you could paint the fleet easily for Aerosoft Professional P3D, I would be very happy.

Could the Inibuilds A340 and A350 be added to the available fleet?

I think Adrian that Rob answered the question already in a previous post. The routes and the fleet reflect the authenticity of this VA

I only fly Airbus myself, but I asked about adding the A340 and A350 because when you book a flight there is a message stating - Boeings are valid? Does that message mean you can use Boeings for this VA? so the A340 and A350 would be a good option too if Boeing are allowed to fly Easy's routes on the VA. Aircraft Type Information:Ensure valid aircraft type is entered below. Valid types include: A320, A321, A332, A333, B732, B733, B734, B737, B738, B744, B757, B762, B763, B772, B788, B789.
See simbrief.com for valid types or leave as scheduled.

Going way back to the start of the real EasyJet they used the 737 but in 2002 they placed orders with Airbus and haven't looked back.  Some VA's (such as BA Virtual) retained a 'historic fleet' but since JetVa wasn't started until 2010 I doubt if we have any old 737-300's in the fleet.

Blueskies is shared with TUI Virtual so this could be the answer to how Boeings are in the fleet list?  Also, a more recent development is that Jet 2 is now incorporated into the website and, of course, they use various Boeings.

Let's keep JetVa authentic.  It's better this way.

Happy New Year to all pilots!
